Colours shine on you

For a change I am going to give you folks out there a bit of a different myself..
Back in 1984 we had one of those mammoth televisions that worked on knobs and had B/W chased on its metallic front plate. Things were pretty everyday around me, till I was given to understand that the B/W sign was a caution against discovering anything beyond black and white in those pictures. It was preposterous since I could see green, yellow and other wonderful hues amidst the insipid shades of grey.
I knew the story of the "The Emperor's New clothes" and so did all other people who took a certain amount of pity that I saw things differently. The scientific community has a term for my malady and the medical fraternity views me as a handicap. It was just the beginning of a journey called realization. I later learnt that a handicap isn't always person of limited abilities but are basically people who don't conform to the standards of average laid by the society. So who are the terrorists and who are artists? Well both are handicaps, while one group is more action less thought the other is more thought and less action.
Coming back to me: my world is a bit more green and a bit less red. I pity folks who can't notice beyond whats shown and seek for naive colors in the canary yellow of Vincent's canvas !!
Guess the tone stayed sarcastic after all....
